Isothermal Architecture
Just kilometers from our community lies Moray, a system of concentric circular terraces that defy the terrain's topography. It is not a simple amphitheater, but a monumental botanical laboratory. The geological structure creates a deep depression where the wind is stifled and solar temperature is magnetically retained in the stone walls.
Parametric Microclimates
The Incas' design achieved an astonishing thermal gradient. The temperature difference between the lower core and the largest upper terrace can vary by up to 15°C. This differential mathematically simulated more than 20 different microclimates across the empire, from coastal conditions to the freezing puna.
Acclimatization and Genetic Mutation
Thanks to Moray, our ancestors managed to adapt tropical seeds like the coca leaf to survive in the Andean altitudes. In Misminay, we are the direct heirs of this acclimatization science. Our current planting practices on the mountain slopes continue to apply the thermodynamic principles discovered in this colossal agricultural laboratory.
